Working as a photographer Peter works on his own personal projects and freelance for a range of clients. His personal work has had great success winning the Jerwood Prize and having shows across the UK. Peter has also proved himself to be a very talented editorial photographer with his work often making the international press.
Peter is involved in two projects as part of the Folkestone Triennial Fringe.
The Edwardian Heyday which is an installation of three life size Edwardian styled cut-outs along The Folkestone Leas for the public to interact with and use their own devices to make photographs or visit on certain studio days. The work is a collaboration with Tom Shedden.
The Hotels Project is delivering a body of work that will explore the hotel industry in Folkestone. celebrating their integral and economic presence in the town and their role in holiday provision, we are drawn to consider three prominent elements that are the basis of the hotel experience – permanence, transience and repetition. Peter is one of the artists who has been invited to develop projects that capture the idiosyncrasies of Folkestone’s hotels.
